Volunteer Service Days

Our next Volunteer Service Day will be on February 25, 2012. Contact Judy Pond for details.

Join us as a volunteer with a service to offer, or as a recipient with a request for service.  In past service days we have washed windows, moved heavy boxes, taken items large and small to the town dump, given computer tutorials, and assisted in home cleaning and minor repairs.

Service Day location is the Norwich Historical Society, opposite the Town bandstand.

Hours of service are 10am to 3pm.  You may volunteer by contacting Judy Pond at       649-1420 or emailing her with this form.

You can also fill out this form to volunteer or receive assistance: pSDay10 Flier.Poster

Please feel free to request a service by talking with any AIPN Board member —     click here.

Here are the tasks we have done in recent months to help people who are aging in place:

- altering clothing

- vacuuming

- tidying and preparing gardens

- unpacking and inventorying paintings

- putting up storm windows

- moving bags of mulch

- mopping kitchen and bathroom floors

- driving for shopping

- cleaning out a mudroom

- taking stuff to transfer station

- pinning up hems

Many thanks to The Norwich Historical Society for again letting us use the Lewis House as our Service Day “staging area” and as a meeting place for our board.
